Well another trip is in the books!! Hard to believe how fast the time has flown since our first little outing in 2004. Thanks to all of you who have made it possible, and continue to be my daily inspiration for making Walleye 101 successful.
A special thanks to all my "staff" who go above and beyond for me, and make me look good with all their hard work, dedication and unselfish attitudes. Without them this would be too tough to do, if not impossible!
Our vendor partners are a huge part of the success of the trips, and their support has been amazing. Warrior Lures, Traxstech, and Big Papa Sports add the special touch to our trips, and have become part of the family. I know they appreciate all of your support, as much as we appreciate theirs.
Also a giant thank you to Jay and the crew at the Harbor Drive Thru. What a true blessing they have become. The Walleye 101 family continues to grow, and we are proud to have Jay, Jen, Brian, Lydia, Shelia, Dan, Capt Terry and the whole Harbor Drive Thru crew as a part of what we do and believe in-Thanks again!
Thanks also need to go to Jay and the entire FishHuron committee for providing the great fish fry dinners. Al Berardi at Berardi's restaurant went above and beyond by donating fries and slaw-and a wonderful restaurant for us to eat at. Rick Messenberg of Messenberg Catering cooked fished Week 1 and helped provide fish for week 2. Doug Studer at Fish Huron and Shelia at the Huron Chamber also worked hard to make us feel welcome.
The folks at Holiday Harbor again were gracious enough to provide us with free boat parking-a big deal when we are in Huron. Their friendship and generosity have been a great asset to the trips, and we will continue to support them, even after the new ramp is opened.
Without Dan Martinez and Connie Burkett at the Huron Hometown Inn, we may have had to sleep outside! They both made sure we had a place to stay and everything we needed when we were in town.
Jim and Nancy at Jim's Pizza Box go out of their way to help us with our dinners on Friday nights. I'm sure that getting 40 or more pizzas ready to go at the same time is a challenge, and they pull it off every time with some of the best pizza anywhere! No one else does a better buffalo wing pizza!!
The Huron Township Conservation Club allows us to use their beautiful hall for all of our off the water events, and it has become a great "second home" for our trips. Those of you who were with us before we used the hall can appreciate was a great addition it has been to our trips.
Nic and the staff at Cranberry Creek Marina deserve a special thanks for some behind the scenes work they did while we were in town. A few of our boaters had boat problems during the trip, and Nic and the guys at Cranberry went out of their way to get them back on the water right away!! Great service from great people who went the extra mile for Walleye 101! Thanks guys!
For those of you who missed it, the Huron Chamber of Commerce named us as "business of the week" during our first trip. To see our name on their marquee, and on most of the signs in Huron is a humbling experience. I am truly grateful for all of the support from the Huron community.
I say it lots of times, and I truly believe that building relationships is the MOST important thing in business! Without the relationships we have with some great people and businesses in Huron, our trip would not be as fun, enjoyable or easy. Thanks again to all who make it possible!

I personally would like to say thank you to all that work the walleye tournament. Every thing was great from the boat basin marina, the sign in to the captains meeting, the food the night before, every thing was great. And then there was the next day, I m not sure but I think Steve was more nervous then most of the fishermen, but he did a great job with the blast off. The weigh in went good, and again the food was great. I really like that the weigh in was open to the public, it gives the feel of a big event and one that the community is proud off. If I had any request it would be that all contestants be given first chance to enter next year, and then open it up for general entry. I guess what I am asking is support those that supported you.
From the Captain Roy and Up The River Gang Great job Huron you truly are a fishing town.

Just wanted to thank your fair city for its warm welcome and hospitality for the Walleye 101 Spring Trophy Hunt held this past weekend. We were treated like family and will return year after year:)
A special thanks to Jay and Jen at JnJ Harbor Drive Thru who went way out of their way to service and provide for our group. :))
Thanks Again,
