PERCH
Fishing has been good to very good this week. With nice fish caught in the following locations…
*Northwest of the Huron Lighthouse in 25-31 feet of water
*North of the Huron Dumping Ground (N 41, 26.45, W 82, 31.96) This location is producing the BIGGER perch!
*Cranberry Creek North in 27-32 feet of water. Good Numbers!
WALLEYE
Fishing this week has been fair to good. Locations to consider…
*West of the Huron River in 22-27 feet of water
*Fishing the Humps in front of Sawmill all the way to the west of the wall off the pier. Fishing here has produced fish early and late in the day.
*North of the Huron Dumping Ground in water depths of 38-40 feet of water
-Crawlers, Harnesses, and Jet Divers are all producing well.
-Crankbaits pulled in the top 1/3 of water column are also working
BE PREPARED TO CATCH ALOT OF SHEEPHEAD!!

Walleye fishing has picked up this week as waters cleared up.Good fishing in the evenings
has produced fish in the mouth of the Huron River.Walleye continue to frequent this area due to large quantity’s of bait.Pier walls continue to produce in the early morning late afternoon.
Locations elsewhere are Sawmill Creek to the Boulder Shores area, fishing breaklines and the small humps that are found here.Cranberry Creek and east to Orchard park at night has been awsome,pulling stickbaits behind inline boards in aslittle as8 FOW.Crawlerharness’s are starting to produce, and will continue to get better.
Perch remain in good numbers with all the following locations producing fish…
Northwest of red channel buoy.
Northeast of green channel buoy..both in 30 fow.
Old Womans Creek in 22 to 28 fow. Perch fishing was terrible after the blow,but the water has cleared up.
BAIT AVAILIABILTY POOR FULL MOON AND WINDY CONDITIONS HAVE PREVENTED GOOD CATCHES OF BAIT.

Walleye
Night bite really getting better. Pier fishing the cast 3 nights was very good with a lot of nice fish caught. Best baits were storm swim jig in shad pattern followed by Reef Runner Ripstick and Rapala Husky Jerk in blue silver patterns.
Cranberry Creek to Old Womans Creek. Trolling stickbait behind inline boards in water depth of 6 to 9 feet. Jig N Minnows are still very productive.
Perch
Awesome perch fishing this week in all areas with big fish being caught NW of red channel buoy 29 feet of water. NE of green channel buoy 29 feet of water. North of water tower on East side of River.
Limits are coming in and fish cleaning is available at Huron Bait on the river.
White bass and catfish are good to very good off pier.
Bait availability is excellent. This week should continue to produce good fishing.

Spring fishing is underway and excellent weather has helped to warm our waters quickly!
Good perch fishing this week with good size and numbers being reported.
Locations to consider are
HURON LIGHTHOUSE PIER TO THE WEST WALL
NICKEL PLATE BEACH PIER
NORTHEAST AND NORTHWEST OF CHANNEL MARKER BUOYS IN 26 TO 35 FOW.
Big perch and lots of them,are scatterd througout the area. Good fishing should continue
for the rest of the week. Cooler temps are predicted for the weekend,so check the updated marine forecast before traveling.
Whitebass should begin staging at the mouth of the river,which will provide a good opportunity to take a kid fishing!!
Walleye fishing has started with some fish coming off the pier. The night bite is starting to pick up,trolling stickbaits off inline boards.Locations to consider are…
