PERCH
Fishing this week was very good with limits reported from many locations.
- Huron light North to 36 feet of water excellent numbers of yellow perch small on the average.
- Northwest corner of the dumping grounds in 39 feet of water produced excellent fish 9″ - 10″.
- Channel buoys East and West in 28 feet of water were also good. perch fishing outlook for this fall looks to be the best we have had in a few years. Good numbers of fish will probably stay close this year due to good forage and water temps lower than the usual for this time of year.
Bait availability this weekend will be a problem due to the full moon. Fridays forecast looks better for catching minnows cloudy overcast conditions. Please call your local bait shop for availability.
WALLEYE
Fishing this week has been good.
- Sawmill Creek to the Huron lighthouse. Windy conditions on Tuesday stirred the water up a little, but made this good for casting good fish on the humps off Sawmill Creek. This area continues to hold fish.
- North of Huron lighthouse in 39 - 42 feet of water pulling spoon and dipsy combos and crank baits up high in the water column. Bigger fish have come from this area.
- Cranberry Creek Tuesday evening was very good with crank baits and crawler harnesses. This area tends to be better early AM or PM due to boat traffic in water depths of 20 - 26 feet of water.
- Offshore to the sandbar. Location N 38 W 24.5. This area was very good this week for anglers willing to travel. Spoons and dispy combos and crank bait (Reef Runners) up high produced well.

WALLEYE
Walleye fishing this week has been unpredictable. Locations and productive programs continue to change daily ,almost by the hour. Wind and rainy weather has made casting with weight forward spinners and flipping rigs tipped with worms a good presentation in both mo

CRANBERRY CREEK TO RUGGLES BEACH AREAS IN 17 TO24 FOW.SAWMILL CREEK IN AND AROUND THE HUMPS IN 22 TO 24 FOW . ALL THESE AREAS TEND TO BE MORE PRODUCTIVE TROLLING CRANKBAITS AND WORM HARNESSES.
