*Sixth annual "Walleye 101 Fall Trophy Hunt" Week
"Walleye Education Weekends" are a gathering of anglers all with the goal of helping each other become better anglers and catch some walleye. Traveling to bodies of water with the potential for great fishing, Walleye Education Weekends combine seminars, fishing and exchanging of ideas and knowledge. These 3 day events are a fantastic way to learn new bodies of water, meet new fishing friends and catch the fish of a lifetime. Anglers without partners or boats are always welcome! These trips fill fast, so sign up early to be guaranteed a spot.
Based from the Huron Microtel and fishing Lake Erie waters from Pt. Clinton to Huron, the spring Trophy Hunt will take advantage of the wonderful opportunities in Lake Erie's famous Western Basin. Anglers will be able to use open water trolling techniques to target trophy walleye up to 12 pounds.
Past trips saw anglers learn the finer points or spinner presentations and the absolutely critical importance of proper speed and depth control. The 2006 trip saw young angler Chris Merbler set a new IGFA walleye world record for junior anglers and in 2008 Brian Pennington and Jeff Zeek landed a 12 lb 13 ounce giant!
Trip will include 3 evenings lodging, 3 evening meals, continental breakfast, 3 days boat launch, seminars, waypoint list, shirt and other exclusive items.
